I am from Maricopa but up in the North Phoenix area often for my wife's cancer treatments at Mayo Clinic. On my way to visit her I stopped to get gas at the shell station at the 101 & Tatum. That is where my 2013 Equinox had died and would not start. I had a tow truck jump the car so I can get it down to Fletcher's. The reason why I was going to Fletcher's was that I purchased the battery with the 5 year warranty from the Fletcher's in Maricopa. I wanted them to test the battery to see if there was a dead cell and possibly replace the battery. I was willing to stay and wait for the replacement but the guy that was working the front desk was having none of it. They told me that it will be several hours before they could even test the battery which only takes a few minutes. Frustrated I walked out and went across the parking lot to walmart. They had a battery and bought a wrench set and went back to Fletcher's. I changed my own battery which took about 30 minutes in the 100+ degree heat in front of Fletcher's. I understand there were other customers there a head of me and I was willing to wait for the replacement but all I asked was to have the battery tested. I know this would have not happened at the Fletchers in Maricopa and will deal with them only in getting a replacement battery or reimburse me for my new battery purchase at Walmart.
