On what could have been a horrendous evening by any other account, my plane out to San Jose was delayed then our plane was struck by lightning (horrible thunder storms on this lovely desert night), and then the waiting game began.
I trudged-annoyed-down to Starbucks and figured I'd recaffeinate so as to not reconsider screaming at the top of my lungs. The Southwest guys ahead of me in line were sweet and asked how my night was going and where I was headed. I told them where I was "theoretically" headed and they smiled and one of them said "Don't worry, we'll get you there." When I got up to the counter and ordered my drink, I was informed that it had already been paid for by Craig, the crew member who assured me I'd get home. This kind gesture turned my night around and sure enough, I got a flight home :)
Thank you Craig, you saved my evening!
