  • BAIT AND SWITCH On 2/21/18 we went to Best Buy on Decatur. We pulled a card for an open box dishwasher and asked to see the dishwasher. The sales person tried but could not locate the machine. There was another dishwasher and the salesperson asked the manager if he could sell me that one for the same price. The manager said yes and we paid for the dishwasher in full with delivery scheduled for 2/28/18 between 12 and 4. We received four emails from Best Buy thanking us for the order and confirming delivery for 2/28. The latest email was at 7:00 a.m. on 2/28 confirming delivery. Between 9:30 and 10:00 we received two calls. One was from a sales associate and one from a manager. When we returned the call at noon we were told that the dishwasher we purchased was sold to someone else. We were offered two alternative dishwashers if we would pay $300.00 more. The sales manager called back with worse options and we were stuck. In the end, we went in and paid $150.00 more for the same dishwasher but in a box. In the past, we have purchased televisions, computers, laptops, ipads, and phones from Best Buy. We will NEVER shop at Best Buy again.
