| - My boyfriend and I are moving to Pittsburgh from Atlanta as new young professionals and have been looking around for some time for a place to live. We toured the Cork Factory last week and were floored by the beautiful grounds, kind staff, and fabulous, loft-style apartments. We immediately put in our deposit and got on the waiting list. Because we are recent grads and are still tight on cash, we wanted to make sure that the Cork Factory was worth every penny. We expressed our concerns to Lisa, who was working with us to secure the perfect apartment, and she invited us to the Cork's weekly happy hour to meet some of the residents. I can honestly say that we had a wonderful time there last night and were thrilled to have met such wonderful people. We asked several different residents about their lives and found the community to be diverse and fun to be around. We are also dog lovers, which makes the community extra appealing. In our time at the happy hour, not one resident complained about the Cork's location, noise, residents, or staff. Everyone we met was delighted to be living there and enjoyed all of the many amenities that the community was able to provide. They also commented on the low utility bills, impeccable grounds, unique and friendly community, and caring staff.
Though we are still trying to figure out whether or not we can financially swing a Strip District apartment at this stage of the game, we are certain that the Cork Factory will be our home someday soon. We are looking forward to being a part of such a vibrant and fun community and would like to express our deepest gratitude to Lisa and her staff for being patient and generous to us throughout this process. Her empathy and understanding for our situation is unparalleled in Pittsburgh and unlike any I've ever seen in Atlanta, St. Louis, or Milwaukee. Whether it's this October or next, I can guarantee we'll be back.
