| - As others said, the wait here is unreasonable. I arrived on a Saturday around 8:00am, and there were only two clerks working, despite a ton of arriving morning flights. I booked it to the line ahead of the rest of my crowded shuttle, and it was good that I did. There were only four parties in front of me, and it still took 20-25 minutes.
The clerk at the check in was friendly, but when I went down to pick up my car, the woman working there was nasty. At most airports when you're given a stall number, you just proceed to the car. I checked to confirm, and she rudely told me "you won't have any keys!" I have never encountered a procedure as they do in Phoenix, and it was a simple mistake. Her attitude was totally unnecessary.
My car was fine, so good for that, I suppose. The return was more or less easy, although getting a shuttle back to the airport was like participating in the running of the bulls.
I have to rent again in a month or so in Phoenix, and I am going to pay the little extra to get better service. I could easily see how you could lose an hour plus of your day at this location, just waiting to be helped, and it's not worth saving $20.
