This "hidden gem" isn't as hidden as it used to be. The only time I consider going to Oyster Bar is for a really late lunch..maybe 3pm or so, and even at that time there will usually be a wait. The experience is quite fun, the chefs and waitresses are cool have different mojo. The food is pretty gargantuan. I usually order my own bowl, but honestly, half a portion would be the perfect size for all the major items. Maybe next time I'll share, but at 3pm for lunch, I'm usually starving and think I can eat the whole thing. I've had the gumbo, etouffee and pan roasts and all have been good. My companions have had the fra diablo & bouillabaisse and gave thumbs up. Haven't actually tried the oysters yet, but they're pretty popular too.
