  • UPDATE #2 (no pun intended!) They open their doors again and things are pretty much the same. Sadly, no all-you-can-eat buffet. I think they really missed out on a opportunity here. Here's the rundown of my first dining experience in the remodeled (i.e. new chairs and tables) eatery... Hot-Sour Soup: I was impressed by the very large portion. Much larger than the cup size that is served at most similar places. Kung Pao Chicken ($7 Lunch Special): Boring. No spice. Chicken was not breaded & fried (that's half the fun of this dish, am I right?) At least the peanuts are no longer rancid like they were before the remodel. Also, I would gladly pay an extra dollar to have a fried spring roll automatically included (it only comes with rice). Water: Moldy tasting (again!) Fortune Cookie: Stale and not crispy. Not individually wrapped in plastic so who knows where this thing had been and who had touched it. For some reason, the fortune paper strip was greasy, making it hard to read because the French and English texts were both visible due to the way grease makes paper turn clear. CONCLUSION: Use this place if you forget to bring your lunch to work and are tired of the Subway down the street.
