| - We had an amazing stay at the Omni King. For an almost 5-star hotel the service here is on par with luxury hotels like the Ritz and Four Seasons. One person who stood out and delivered wonderful service was Vanessa at the Concierge. Weeks before our trip she helped me plan and book a day tour to Niagara Falls. Last minute due to weather changes she moved our reservation so we didn't have to worry about the rain affecting our tour. She was kind, courteous, and prompt in all our conversations. The two days during our stay when she was off I really felt lost without her guidance and suggestions. The older gentlemen in her place to be frank was useless. Thank god she was working on our last day here because her suggestions again were on point. We ended our trip at the Distillery with some chocolate dessert fondue at Caucao 70!
Moving on to our room we booked a deluxe King with Club Level access. I highly recommend booking a Club room. You get a special key card that allows you access to a spacious lounge 24 hours a day on the 11th floor. They serve breakfast from 630-1030am which is an array of fresh fruits, coffees, teas, the best espresso machine ever, muffins, croissants, bagels, juices, eggs, bacon, French toast, yogurt bar and oatmeal station! Buffet style all you can eat. The breakfast also changes up a bit daily. For example, one morning they had special peach pancakes then the next day brioche French toast etc. I particularly loved the egg white frittatas! They don't serve a full lunch but did have a large fruit basket out along with cookies and candies including beverages which remain out all throughout the day. For evenings 5-7pm they served hordervous which included a big veggie platter with an assortment of hummuses, cheeses, olives, and two hot appetizers (chicken skewers and Thai wontons). For me it was filling enough for dinner. They also had an unlimited open bar. We utilized the club almost every morning for breakfast and went back a couple times a day to reload as needed or just to sit and relax in a peaceful atmosphere. We also loved our club hosts including Young who was always and willing to assist us in our day to day plans and Liz who was so thoughtful enough to send a card up to our room asking how our trip to Niagara Falls went along with milk and cookies for my kids!
Location location location! One of the prime reasons we chose this hotel.
- 10 min walk to St Lawrence Food Market.
- 20 min walk to the CN Tower and Aquarium.
- 15 min walk to a huge indoor shopping mall called Eaton Centre
- The street cars and subway stations are also nearby.
- 20 min cab ride to the airport.
- A million and one coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance!
Kudos to the ENTIRE staff at the Omni- they were all top notch! From the bellman getting us a ride to the airport, to the kind ladies at check in, to the wonderful housekeeping staff who kept our room spotless, to the front desk gentleman who ran over to us as we were leaving to help get our luggage into our taxi. Everyone was always willing to assist! Thank you all for making our stay so memorable and pleasant! :)
