In town for a couple of conventions and the wife wanted a buffet so we looked at a couple and our hotel had a shuttle to Mandalay Bay so we decided to give this one a try. Arrived about 415pm on Saturday night and expected to wait a few minutes for the buffet to open for dinner, however they were still seating from brunch (which is also a couple dollars cheaper than dinner) so we get seated right away our waited got our drinks right away and kept the empty plates cleared.
While the chef was putting out the dinner selections, I heard her tell the staff to make double of everything because they were expecting a large party, (looked like about 200 people when they arrived) and while the wife and I were almost done by the time the large party arrived, I appreciate this forward thinking by the chef and management to make it a great experience for everyone.
If you are looking for a lot of sushi, king crab, oysters or a days worth of food for under $30 you might be disappointed but if you want a reasonable selection of menu items to satisfy different tastes then you will probably be happy with this buffet. It is not the top buffet in Las Vegas but it is a very good choice if you are hungry and don't want to spend $$$$ on dinner.
