| - So, I've never had Nepalese (Nepali?) food before, so I don't know if anything I had tasted like what it's "supposed" to taste like, but I do know that it tasted really, really good. The starter soup was yummy, my vegetable dish (I think it was just called tarkari with rice) was yummy, my friend's cho mari (kind of like an empanada or a flattened calzone stuffed with vegetables) was yummy. Everything was good. It was very similar to Indian food, but less intense as far as spice and heaviness go. They probably mild it up for the Wisconsin palate, but it's still good. And of course, I love it that there were plenty of vegetarian options.
One really nice little touch: the water pitchers all had fresh mint and lemon in them, the water had a slight, refreshing flavor. It was lovely.
Go, you'll like it. But remember to bring cash, because they definitely don't take plastic! Luckily there's a free ATM across the street and another one next door.
