  • This place is a "meh" for me. I usually yelp about how wonderful places are, but the front end staff are stuck up to say the least. And I'm not talking about getting up to the patio at 10pm at night when the line up is all the way down 8th ave. I went there for dinner and the hostess almost didn't even want to seat us at 6pm on the rooftop. She was hesitant and not very friendly at all. In fact all 3 of them weren't very inviting. When we finally got up there, our waitress was great. The food is ok, I've had better... but the atmosphere and being on that patio is actually what saves the experience. The hostesses are supposed to be the first face you see, hopefully they were all just having bad days and it's not a consistent thing at West.
