  • On a Wednesday (consulting Fridays) out here in Cleveland, a college buddy and I left after a dinner at Lola looking for a bar to just chill with some whiskey. Whaddya know, Wonder Bar is right down the street! The bar space is comfortable, even with it's narrow width. Music was a funky playlist of 90s R&B and hip hop. The bartender who was doing all the work that night (working the tables and the bar) was really fun to chat with, and she even gave me my first shot ever of absinthe for free! They have Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA (crazyyyy delicious) on tap, but unfortunately it was just a notch above being room temperature, boo. The next day I woke up and realized that I had been charged for my buddy's glass of Johnny Walker Blue Label ($35), but I guess it's my fault for not checking the itemized bill haha. Come here after dinner for a stiff drink at the bar and a friendly bartender to chat with. Expect to pay big city prices though!
