I've never been in here before- from the outside it looked super bright and obnoxious, but no! It's in a nice, cozy basement. The wooden bar and decor were super mellow and the place was dimly lit. I had a few different Ethiopian beers (there are four different bottles of it on the menu), the plantains and the coconut curry chicken. We chose the spongy bread instead of rice, and it was a good decision. That bread was soft and subtly flavored- perfect for wiping up sauce. Everything was very tasty. Now that I know it's there and not lit with flourescents, I will have to go back and try all of the other dishes.
