| - OK first off this is a BBQ place that has not only Vegetarian options but also Vegan ones, that to me is amazing! After reading so many yelp reviews I decided to swing by one day with DH. He ordered the pulled pork (no sandwich) and I got the quarter chicken. We had to have a few sides of course, so we ordered the black eyed peas, collard greens, and macaroni & cheese. First off the Yinzburg Afterburner sauce is to die for, its sweet, hot, and tangy all at the same time, and is a perfect complement to the lovely smoked meats. The star of the show was the black eyed peas. It reminded me of a special north Indian dish I frequently cooked called Lobia, except without the kicked up spice. It totally hit the spot.
The owner of this fine establishment was friendly, and willing to explain the process he uses to smoke the meats, and the tofu. The only thing I was disappointed to hear was that they use to offer smoked paneer (Indian cheese), but no longer do. They were not getting enough orders, so they ended up throwing it away every night. How about we all start a revolution to get it reinstated, what do you say :)?
