| - My dining experience here was exceptionally awful.*
My friends and I originally had reservations at Craftsteak for my birthday dinner, which we drunkenly changed to the Palm in order to merge with another group of friends who were also celebrating a birthday. Bad move on my part--and thankfully the only shitty thing I did this Vegas trip--but one star to the Palm for accommodating our last minute 18-person reservation (I should've taken a hint from the fact that this restaurant wasn't packed to capacity.)...
Welp, that's about where the pros end. Our food wasn't served until OVER AN HOUR after we had ordered. Unbelievable. The filet mignon I ordered 'medium' was overdone and flavorless, and our waiter did not come by once to ask how anything was. The three cheese potatoes au gratin were good, but not worth writing home about. My boyfriend had no complaints about his chicken parm, but he is easily pleased, hence why we've been together for so long *ba dap ch*.
There was also a whole ordeal with splitting the check. You'd think an "upscale" restaurant like this would have an efficient, hassle-free way of doing this, but nope. That debacle added even more time to our almost 2.5 hour dining fiasco.
*OVERALL: huge waste of time and money.
The highlight of any dining experience, IMHO, should be the food or the service and the Palm lacked in both. Weirdly enough, the highlight of my evening were the girls who were so unbearably cold during our long wait for food that they wore borrowed chef coats and didn't mind looking like they were in straight jackets. :)
