Just took time out of my incredibly busy work day to go in for a follow-up appointment and was turned away because my "referral from my primary care physician expired." I wasn't aware that referrals had an expiration date, especially for a follow-up for the same issue (why is that necessary?), and neither the office staff nor the call center for this place bothered to let me know that it was going to expire.
The appointment has been coming for two months - I even called to change it from late Dec. to after the holidays, at which time I am told, the referral was already expired - and the call center didn't say a word about it. They ask for every little bit of info on you when you call, even though you're already in their system, then they don't bother to tell you that your paperwork is expired and you will not be seen until you get another referral?! FAIL.
