Horrible customer service. I purchased a dresser and found that it had a horrible, old mothball smell to it. I understand Slate has a no return policy but they were in no way willing to assist me in finding a resolution to the problem. Their attitude, specifically the manager, Teri was "too bad" we can't help you. It's sad that once they had my money they no longer cared whether I was a happy customer or whether I'd return for further merchandise.
Now I'm stuck with a dresser I cannot use and one I'll have a hard time selling due to the odor. The odor wasn't identifiable in their large store but was extremely noticeable once I had it in my small room. I will ensure no one I know patronizes them for they too may have the same sad and despicable service. And to think I wanted to buy additional items from this store. Thankfully there are other merchants in Charlotte who'd love to have my business.
