Overall, the experience at Citizens was pleasant and had a fun atmosphere with great food. Unfortunately, our waiter (also was the bar person) was what prevented me from providing a 5 star review. Food, which I had a chicken Caesar salad and pretzel bites, came in great portions and had a great quality to it. Salad had a perfect amount of dressing too I must add. My friend had the nachos and we would never have guessed they would be a mountain of nachos. Leftovers were taken home.
Our waiter who was the bar person did move with urgency, but after we had ordered, his attention seemed to grow less patient with us and he engaged with us much less than everyone else around us. This was most noticeable when asking to box up the leftovers. He made a comment to boxing the nachos that seemed to imply he didn't want to waste his time if we were not going to take it home. His facial expression and tone made it seem like we were going to waste his time by asking to box the nachos. Even the gentleman sitting next to us caught wind of it and was slightly put off by the remark. Do not get me wrong, this bartender was incredibly nice and respectful everywhere else, it was just this interaction that really left a lasting impression. Perhaps next time I'll just stick to the regular dining experience with the waiters and waitresses.
