| - Went there this morning for breakfast, and in the past was very pleased with the service and quality of good. However, Sat morning 3/5/16 my fiance and I went to Citizen for breakfast after grabbing a cup of Java at Starbucks. As we approached the young blonde woman who was the hostess, I immediately saw the sour look on her face. She was leaning on her elbow and was either in a bad mood or had a terrible hangover. I stood by and waited for her to look my way so I could make my request. Mind you there was only one other guy waiting to get in. After waiting a minute with no acknowledgement, I walked all the way up to her, and said excuse me, but we'd like to have breakfast. She looked at me like I kicked her buns, then said just two of you?. I said yes, and thank you. She said sternly, stand close! I shrugged her attitude off and we checked out the posted breakfast menu. Then she smugly told us," I'm sorry, but no outside drinks are allowed you'll have to throw it away". That was before she even planned on seating us. At that point I told her to forget it, and we would go elsewhere.
Round 2... We returned for dinner, and it was like night n day. The young brunette woman greeted us warmly, and sat us within 10 mins. The waitress was excellent as was the food.
I'm giving this a 3 star but would give it 5 had that first employee not ruined my morning .. Management should do random attitude checks to improve their customer's experience. Their Mac n cheese and mahi tacos were outstanding.
