My original visit was for a possible pink eye/stye. I was one of 2 patients in the waiting room and it took an hour to be seen.
I was prescribed an eye drop that caused an allergic reaction. I awoke after the first night to swollen eyelids, face and inflamed skin.
I immediately called to speak to my original provider. My symptoms were consistent with a possible allergic reaction per my prescription literature.
When I called, I spoke to Julie. She noted my concerns/symptoms and told me she would be in contact with my provider and give me a call back. Upon said call back, I was told that to be seen again, I would have to pay an additional copay on top of my already paid initial visit. I cited that I was having an allergic reaction because of something I was prescribed from their specific office. I noted all of my allergies and was very concerned.
I was met with a response asking for an additional copay to be seen again and evaluated. Is it just me, or isn't this negligence on the provider's part? I was extremely upset. Julie informed me she would give me another call back after talking with my provider to receive a different prescription.
Well, 3 hours later I hadn't heard a word. I had to follow up with this office to obtain confirmation about a new prescription and try to fight to be seen. When asking Julie why I hadn't received word she responded with, "Well, we got busy". UNBELIEVABLE.
Worst experience and extremely negligent on multiple levels. How does a place like this stay in business?
