  • I spent almost $300 a night for a room last time I was Vegas and I found it to be dirty. The counters were not wiped down. I was grossed out. I barely am in my room and I am very low maintenance. All I need is a clean room to lay my head at night because I am out during the day. I don't need luxury. I was searching for a room on Agoda, hotels.com, vegas.com and AirBnB. I was surprised to find this place at $22 a night (on a weekday) with no resort fee and good reviews. It was also located in Downtown. I hate Vegas. I only go when I need to. It is usually not by choice. The purpose of this trip was heading to Death Valley and spontaneously adding Grand Canyon the next day with a tour group so I didn't have to do all the driving and get a tour guide to show me around. I found the room photos to be of an updated modern room, so that appealed to me. Check in was easy and the lady assured me that the area was safe and that there is security on site. The lobby isn't manned 24/7, so keep that in mind. I had to check out at 4:30 am and no one picked up the phone or was in the office. I left the keys in the room. For those looking to explore food and drinks Downtown and the Arts District, this is a good option. I loved that I didn't I have walk too far to my room and didn't have to walk through a casino (and inhale cigarette smoke). It was quiet on a weekday when I got back to the room. It might be a different story during the weekends. The walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper, it might be a problem. When I woke up at 3 am to get ready, I heard the faint sound of music. Note that there aren't any thick blankets (I did bring my own) so I had to turn on the heater. Considering the price, a good value option for those on a budget and those who don't need luxury. It is close to good, acclaimed restaurants in Downtown and the Velveteen Rabbit, which I heard has the best cocktails in Vegas. There is an art walk that happens in the area so I recommend checking that out when it happens if you plan to stay here.
