Before 11 o'clock last night I thought this was gonna be one of my best experiences with air canada. There was only 20min delay but we were scheduled to arrive almost on time (only 11 min late) .
Isn't that amazing? I mean I have had over 5-hour delay with them (from 7pm to past midnight), so 10-20 mins delay with air canada almost sounds like arriving early to me.
So we landed at Toronto Pearson 11 min later than scheduled, the captain announced that there was the gate issue and we needed to stay on board for 10 mins. Then that 10mins turned into 1hr. And this is the second time it happened to me: no available gate leading to over 1-hr delay after landing.
At this point I don't know what to say. My only conclusion is that Air Canada always goes beyond what you can imagine. They do whatever it takes to mess up your schedule:)
So If you are traveling with Air Canada, my suggestion is to lower your expectations and to avoid tight scheduling. I'm giving them 3 stars because 1) they didn't lose my luggages (yah!) 2) at least my flight wasn't cancelled (S/O west jet). See? Lower your standard really helps!!
