| - I'm a big fan of AFW these days. I felt like we found A LOT of furniture for our money. The selection is enormous and most everything is in stock and available to pick up at the warehouse.
Our experience with the sales people was pretty good. Not once did we encounter someone with a poor attitude or unwillingness to help. In fact, it's typically the opposite because they all work on commission (and aren't afraid to tell you that!). If nothing else, you might get annoyed because EVERYONE comes up and asks you if you're doing OK.
2 cautions I would give you -
(1) If you go shopping on a Saturday afternoon and expect to pick up anything at the warehouse quickly, you'll be disappointed. There are only so many bays for people to use at one time and depending on the number of people in front of you, it could be an hour wait. If you're not in a hurry, come back later in the evening closer to closing (10 pm) or the next day when they open.
(2) The delivery fees are a little shady IMHO. Our sales person kept saying, "Oh, delivery is $59 and can be there in 2 days" which, if you're buying one item that's in stock and under $100...is true. However, if you're buying $5,000 worth of furniture like we did (some in-stock and some out-of-stock), they try to add a delivery fee for both shipments (after touting that the re-delivery fee was free). I made it clear to the salesperson and manager that I was not going to pay the second delivery fee and they reluctantly removed it (saving us about $75)
I will also say that the delivery crews are great. They're professional looking (and acting) guys who respected our purchases and our house. They set things up quickly and even helped remove the plastic from the patio pieces. Before leaving, they walk you through the expected inventory piece-by-piece to ensure you received everything you were expecting. I never felt rushed or forced to confirm the quality of the delivery like some places.
