I bought a $600 Giant Revel mountain bike from D'Ornellas late last summer. I chose to buy it there instead of online so I could get after sales support for my purchase. My mountain bikes bottom bracket and cassette failed so I decided to bring it in for warranty service. It was only 9 months old at that point and I've only really had been riding the bike for 3-4 months so it was fairly obvious that it was due to manufacturer defects.
When I brought it in the head mechanic was very rude and aggressive. He said I had abused it and had taken the bike apart (I don't even own the tools to do that). He told me that he could help me out and only charge me $200 to repair the bike (a 1/3rd the cost of the 9 month old bike!). All in all it was the exact opposite of the experience I was hoping for.
If you plan on actually riding your new bike go elsewhere. I've had good luck having my other bike serviced at Cyclepath in the beaches.
