Called Goettl to service an air conditioner that wasn't cooling. Peter from Goettl came and replaced a capacitor for $412, but the A/C still didn't work. He said he needed to drain the coolant for an additional $740 before he could begin to tell what was wrong. I told him to stop. Paid him the $412, then called George Brazil for a house call the next day. Marco from George Brazil came today, and I walked him to the unit on the side of the house and showed him the unit. He opened the fuse panel to shut off power to the unit, and found that the Goettl repairman had replaced the fuses upside down. This is why the unit didn't work for the Goettl service tech the prior day. Great job, Goettl!
BTW, for some unknown reason, the Goettl service tech took the cover panel off my other A/C unit, and forgot to replace it when he left. I guess that Goettl commercial that claims that each service tech takes six pictures and sends them to the boss is really nothing more than B/S.
Next time you need A/C service work, call George Brazil and ask for Marco...
