  • (disappointed that I can't give zero stars) I ordered a rifle online and had it shipped to Guns, ETC. When I received notice from UPS that it had arrived, I drove down to the store to find that the store was... ...empty. With a sign on the door indicating that they had moved and gave the address (implying that they were open for business) for the new location. It turns out that the new address was just down the street a mile or so, so I drove down there to find that the new store was.... ...closed. My visit occurred during their normal business hours but since I didn't see any cars in the parking lot, I left and decided to call the next morning. So I called the next morning during business hours (9am - 6pm by their website) and they were... ...not answering the phone. So I decided to drive back down to the store about mid-day, only to find it.... ...closed. There was a sign saying that they were taking deliveries in the back, so I went to the back door and knocked. Thank heavens there was another gentleman at the back door about to knock and it was someone known at the store and I just sort of rolled in with him. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I would've been given the bum's rush. They were in the midst of moving locations and were not finished yet setting up the new store. No notice of this or anything, or any sign that indicated when they would be open again. Had I known this, I would have chosen another FFL to have my rifle shipped to, but since I didn't know this, and since their move wasn't my problem, I asked for my rifle. I was told to go see Ron, who was.... ....surly. And I don't mean a little surly, I mean he literally said to me, "Can't you wait until next Tuesday?" (it was Thursday--and no I wasn't going to cancel my plans to take my new rifle shooting on Labor Day weekend). I told him I would make it more convenient since I have a concealed carry permit and he doesn't have to perform the customay time-consuming gubmint background check. He told me, and I am not making this up, "That I wasn't making it convenient at all for him." So we proceeded to fill out the transfer paperwork, which took all of ten minutes, fifteen at the outside most, with me doing half of the work, while Ron putzed around hanging things behind the counter. I presented him with $45 for the transfer (most I've ever had to pay) and he presented me with my rifle. I never in my life felt like more of an inconvenience (and I just turned 50) to a vendor, to someone I was paying for a service, who I just paid $45 to for fifteen minutes' worth of paperwork. Now I understand that they were in the midst of a move, but do you value your customers or don't you? There is no shortage of gun stores in Arizona, and.... ....I swear... ....I will never spend another dollar at Guns, Etc. They do not demonstrate anything that even remotely resembles customer service.
