  • Many of my friends are talking about the surgery dept and the risk of patients not having a physician anesthesiologist direct their anesthesia. What more important thing than ensuring the safety of someone under anesthesia for a major surgery? How can an anesthesiologist possibility catch important issues if s/he supervising more than 4 rooms? I am so disappointed in CMC. I won't be going there for anything requiring anesthesia, I'll go to Novant where I will see a physician anesthesiologist directing my anesthesia with the help of a quality CRNA and the anesthesia bill will be 15% less.
