Comparing Wynn's The Buffet to Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan, I can't say one is better than the other because both have strong and weak points in their nice, large offerings. Where Wicked Spoon's Asian section is a bit of a letdown, Wynn's had surprisingly authentic steamed barbecue pork buns and gyoza (potstickers). Wynn had juicy cocktail shrimps and decent Alaskan crab legs, while Wicked's crab legs were a smidge better. The Buffet's kobe meatloaf, tandoori chicken, fried chicken made with cornflake batter and fish teriyaki weren't amazing and a little too dry, whereas these protein sources were better prepared at Wicked. Wynn's flank steak and prime rib were delicious; I can't recall consuming any beef at Wicked. Wynn's dessert section was great: I enjoyed the creme brulee, warm chocolate cake and gelato immensely. Service continually helped cleared plates and refilled our drinks, which was much appreciated.
