  • My husband, 9 month old son and I just did a family photo shoot (that I received as a gift from a friend that she purchased via a Groupon) with Stuart this past weekend at Ocean Park in Santa Monica. My husband was very hesitant but Stuart was quick and efficient at getting lots of different shots in a short time frame (probably about a half hour - which with a baby, he probably couldn't have handled much longer than that!). Stuart has a great, dry sense of humor that got us giggling and even threw in some crazy faces to try and get my son to giggle. I just got back from seeing my photos at his apartment/studio. Parking was a little difficult to find, but once inside being able to see the photos on a HUGE screen (as opposed to just a computer screen) was quite helpful. Adam, Stuart's office manager, helped me go through each and every shot and narrow down the best ones. The prices were a little high for my pre-holiday already stretched budget, but the photos were wonderful, and very high quality. I may order more after the holidays! My one tip would be to make sure you schedule the shoot time for a time your baby will be in his happiest mood and my son was perhaps not in his smiliest mood so we didn't get a ton of smiles in a lot of the photos. If I were to do this again I would probably schedule first thing in the morning when my baby is usually his happiest. Who knew? Stuart did his best to get smiles out of him. Or maybe bring someone along that can get a giggle out of your baby while you are taking photos with him or her. Beyond that, good luck and enjoy this high quality photographer! I wish I could have purchased more!
