| - Can't believe I forgot to review this place! We were married here on 9/10/11 and our day was amazing. We chose Vegas because we started making our guest list for home and realized that we didn't want to do a big she'bang and would rather just party for a week and get away. We invited around 50 of our closest friends and family members and ended up having 35 people.
Chapel of the Flowers is known in Vegas for its amazingly gorgeous photography. You won't find a place that offers pictures as gorgeous. If you're getting married away from home, you want to have the pics to show off, so plan on investing in the photo CD's. We didn't budget for it and ended up buying them anyway. The nice thing is that if you give them a down payment for your photos, you can pay the rest when you get home.
Why you should get married here-
-No hassle. They set everything up for you, you just have to personalize it. One of my good friends just got married and she called me all the time complaining about everything she had to do.
-Chance to bundle a ceremony and reception. They offer a few places to schedule your reception or wedding dinner, so you can just bundle it up. We ended up booking outside of COF, but it's great that COF really is a one-stop shop.
-Easy payments and pay whenever you can up 'til the big day. We had some family want to chip in, so we were able to just log in and make small payments here and there on their CC's.
-PHOTOGRAPHY. Obviously. The photographers are really creative and will do lots of different poses to showcase who you are as a couple. If you see any poses that you like on their Facebook page or website, just let them know so they can work it in.
-Wedding planners respond to your requests within 24 hours. I was a pretty low maintenance bride and didn't require constant coddling, but I know there ARE those types out there. The wedding planners are really efficient and will stay in contact with you.
What to know-
-If you pick a cool date like 11/12/13, there are a bunch of other brides that had the same idea. You can't get any of the special services like an off-site bridal shoot or anything like that. Your wedding may feel rushed as a result of the mass amount of brides, but hey - you got a cool date, your wedding lasted 20 minutes AND you can spend the rest of the time with your new spouse and family.
-You will come back the next day to look at your pictures and you will want to buy all of them. I told my husband not to let me buy the CD, but I had to. When I started to cry at my slideshow, I knew I wanted all of them. Don't kid yourself into thinking otherwise unless you really are ok with losing these pics forever. (You won't be. Trust me.)
-We got married outside in their Garden area. There was a lot of noise from the strip on our wedding DVD. To me, the beauty of the outside far outweighed the cons, but it's a good thing to know.
-I didn't really like our minister, but at the end of the day, we're still happily married almost two years later so I guess he did his job.
I would highly recommend anyone that's thinking of getting married here to dooo it. It was a great decision and I'm so happy that I did.
