First time customer. I had an appointment this Thursday for a blow out. I was super nervous about whether or not this type of service was for me because I have extremely curly, thick hair. Anyways, the online booking was a breeze and I showed up, walked into the salon and fell in love. It was like a little social club. The front desk staff was super friendly as was my stylist. I was offered a drink upon arrival but initially denied. Later on in my appointment I had a green tea lemonade that was super refreshing. I liked the atmosphere of the salon although it was a little noisy because of all the chatter and blow dryers going off at the same time. Anyway, on top of all that they were playing some good tunes and have Love and Basketball showing on the flat screen.
I ended up getting the Cosmo-Tai. Something new for me but it turned out super cute. The shampoo and scalp massage was relaxing. I believe I got a bay breeze but to be honest I have no idea what that is or what it did. I kind of wish the process was explained more but I guess it's pretty obvious for people who frequent hair salons.
While I got my hair done I was just kind of sitting there on my phone. I was too far from the TV to watch it. Didn't see any magazines near my station and it was too noisy to talk. The blow-dry and style took about 40-45min.
Overall, the process was quick and relaxing. I loved the pamper, environment and my hair was super cute at completion. The minute I walked outside it frizzed up and was all poufy and didn't last the car ride home but that is a norm for me and my hair type in this 100 degree weather.I will definitely come back in the cooler months and try again.
