  • Beautiful facility and a wonderful staff. This was our second trip here and again we had a blast. The track is easily accessible from multiple routes. The parking staff is some of the best in all the tracks we've been to. There was a short walk from the lot (if you park in a lot farther away there are shuttle buses). The N.C. state police are very professional are stationed everywhere to help with traffic and road crossings to the track. The raceway is super clean from the concourse to the bathrooms. There are multiple food options from Bojangles chicken to food trucks and your normal stadium fare. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars like I did Bristol and other speedway motor tracks, is the lack of police presence inside the track and the lack of overall security. There were multiple highly intoxicated people (and yes I drank while there but not to excess) and at one point one fan started threatening the entire section he was sitting in while a security woman just stood and watched for over 5 minutes and did nothing. Many of us tried to contact the speedway through text messages and a couple of us looked for police officers but neither panned out. I know this is not a normal for other tracks as it is always handled swiftly when a fan acts in this manner. I will definitely return as this is a great track to watch a race but maybe the security at CMS could be a little more present and proactive.
