I recently visited the Red Oak Cafe for the first time. While their menu looks quite inviting and also their interior seems to be nice, I didn't like the experience that I had here.
I had the Asian chicken salad and a freshly squeezed juice.
Staff seemed generally very unimpressed and bored except of one. But all in all they were quite confused and just couldn't be bothered. My juice arrived quite quickly and yes I really liked it, but there's not much that you can do wrong with juice. I then had to wait ages for my salad and even asked for it 2 times as all of my friends already went halfway through their meal. The portion-size was big, but the taste was missing. It was overly salty and it tasted like someone just poured quite an amount of soy sauce on top. With it came a tiny piece of toasted bread that tasted old. I was basically just trying to eat the chicken to get something for the amount of money that I paid. The pancakes my friends were having seemed to be popular and according to my friends were definitely delicious. But that for me is not enough to go back soon.
