  • When my PCP told me that I would need to see a gastroenterologist, I thought 'not a problem', and proceeded to call every specialist in my plan that was near to me. I heard the same thing over and over...4 to 6 weeks for a new patient appointment. Until I called here. The wait was only 2 weeks! So I made my appointment I was told to come in at 8am. I knew that I would need to fill out paperwork, and none was found online, so I showed up at 7:40. The door was locked, and the posted hours said they were to open at 8:30. Luckily, at about 7:50 they unlocked the doors. I was the first one at the window, and I had my paperwork done by 8. I was thrilled. I was going to get in there, see the doctor, and be back to work asap. Well...not so much. I had been told at the time I made my appointment to let them know when I arrived to have them contact my radiologist to get the results of a previous scan I had done. She made it sound that it would be very quick and easy to obtain. So I told the girl at the window about it, and she gave me a blank look and said that she would ask a co-worker, who was with a patient at the moment. No problem. I sat back down. And waited. At 8:35, and three patients later...I went back up...more stares...and was told 'yes, she is on the phone with them right now getting the results.' Ugh. Okay, fine. I waited until about 8:45 when I was called back to see the doctor. Dr. Weisz was very pleasant, and did a quick examination. Although the door was closed, and no female nurse was present, he told me everything that he would do ahead of time. I had no problem with that, and he was very professional. After some questions and a review of the radiology results...which I had to tell him were in my chart...I was told that I needed another radiology appointment for further testing. So, I didn't really accomplish much at this visit, but at least I am no longer a 'new patient' here. I was out the door at 9am. Other than the very young and not very enthusiastic office staff...and my hour long visit...my experience here was not too bad.
