The place was beautifully decorated with lights everywhere. There are art displays along the paths for a nice walking tour all over the old Ontario place park grounds. It was nice reminiscing about what rides were where 15 years ago when the amusement park was still open. There was a nice bonfire area that was manned by an employee to ensure it was safe and that there was enough firewood burning at all times. You can even purchase a package of 6 marshmallows for $2, or 12 for $3 and $7 for a s'mores package that included marshmallows, chocolate and roasting sticks. The skating rink was where I was disappointed. It was literally skating on plastic. Very difficult and painful as it wasn't smooth like a real ice rink. They have skate rentals available at a cost but the skating is free. Come for the art displays, lights, romantic walk around the park and a less crowded tourist area. Despite the cold, it was a visit worth making. Very family friendly!
