Took the wife for her birthday. Raided the wine store next door for a bottle of champagne (yum) and the Pinot they recommended, which was fantastic.
We both had the seven course tasting menu. I won't go through the details, but it was great (and eight courses, plus an amuse bouche, if I managed to count correctly) (would that be an amuse douche if served to the sort of Scottsdale resident that everyone loves to hate?) It's not a Michelin-style tasting menu (no froths or layered liquids), but it was an absolutely delicious collection of interesting, well-cooked small plates. Good atmosphere - it's small with friendly staff. We'll be back.
