Cox is a prime example why there should be more competition amongst the Internet service providers. I really wish Cox didn't hold monopoly in the area. (It does.)
If you can avoid getting Cox service (i.e. if CenturyLink offers you an acceptable service), please avoid Cox and use the other service.
My problem with Cox:
- Trying to charge $70 upon initial service registration so a "tech" could physically "come in behind the scene" and "turn on some cable switches".
- High cost of Internet service after a year at "promotional rate"
- Continuing to charge the same price despite removing extra services from bundle
