  • Where else can you find slot machines at the airport? I guess they want to give the visitors that extra last chance to lose more of their money?! I've never heard one of those machines go off for a winner but then again, I wouldn't know since I don't gamble. Since opening Terminal 3 several years ago, its been good and bad. Hawaiian used to be in Terminal 1 and the parking was just across the street. I want to say that it used to be $6 a day for overnight parking. But now that Hawaiian flies out of Terminal 3 , if you park your car, you follow the oversize parking lot sign to pay $10 a day. I remember the days of paying only $5 a day in remote parking, but now I believe it's all $10 a day unless you park in the valet or covered parking which used to be $13, could be more now, but we don't use it, and now they make you pay when you pick up people from the airport, there is no 15min grace period. I believe it's $2 starting out. They got rid of the metered parking because they figured out how to squeeze more money from people who used to just sit in their cars waiting and not pay the meter. We now mostly fly out with United. This terminal is nice and clean and HUGE. There aren't many charging stations around. They have some new eating places that opened, but somehow they are never open when I'm flying in or out. Come to think of it, why aren't these eating places open since this is the city that does not sleep, and planes go in and out at all hours? They do have clothing, makeup and jewelry stores, just what every women needs incase she's forgotten something. Hopefully she figures it out before she leaves the airport for that night on the town, because some of the things are flashy for Vegas nightlife. but if she does, there are many more on the strip. Baggage claim is far. Especially for locals, you have to walk all the way to the end of the terminal, and if you parked a car, you have to walk all the way back from the door you came out of and beyond to go to parking.
