| - Believe the hype. This is where you need to get your burgers. My husband and I are avid In-N-Out fans, but not anymore. Not after eating here. It's not fancy, but you can screw that when you've got food this nom nom nom nom. There's ample seating with comfy tables, chairs, and booths. Hipsters, run along.
A few months ago I was in Chicago when it turned out that the hotel mgr was from Scottsdale. He wrote down the name of this place on a piece of paper; and when I got home I stuck it on the fridge.
My husband said he wanted to try it tonight. Neither of us had very high expectations. We've been to places where Yelp reviews are spectacular, and the food was asi-asi. And on the flip side, we've gone to places with lackluster reviews where the food was outstanding.
I ordered the bratwurst special, with sauerkraut, that came with your choice of fries or coleslaw. I upgraded to the garlic fries and a coffee milkshake. My husband ordered the 1/3lb guacamole burger.
While I love good kimchi, I've never really been a fan of sauerkraut. That changed tonight. Their sauerkraut didn't overpower the brat but was a beautiful accompaniment to the savory beer flavored meat. The garlic fries were huge; you'll want to share them. I love garlic and these an ample amount of it.
Someone else mentioned that they're a grease bomb, which is true. There was quite a bit of melted butter at the bottom, but they were pretty sinful. *Make sure you get them!* The hamburger meat melted in my mouth. And the guacamole was not only fresh but it was probably the best guac I've had in a long time. If I could sing, I'd be singing an aria right about now.
They're closed on Sundays and they only have brats on Wednesday/Saturdays. Regardless, we'll be back. I'm excited to explore the menu.
