The dentist them selves have been amazing I had a lot a problem with the front office.
They only submitted authorization for Nitrous and the office visit. This was why my Insurance did not cover the $300 extraction cost. I paid cash because my son took off work when I made the appointment and asked if there were going to be any problems they said no. With my previous dentist my extraction the year before same type no authorization needed insurance paid it was no problems. They took me in was an hour latter they stated I need to come back in a couple of weeks because I needed pre authorization which insurance states was not needed. Plus it never got submitted anyway. I'm out 368.00 because I can't get my credit nor I can't get them to submit the insurance claim either. Dumb..
I asked if they could submit a retro claim they said no problem. This was November 22nd. I contacted my insurance. Gental Dental never submitted for retro authorization nor did they submit anything the 1st of January for a filling or Crown. My insurance did pay for nitrous and X-rays for Oct visit so I have a credit I can't get back from Gental Dental either.
Insurance stated Gental Dental does not need pre-authorization to do my fillings but, are asking to assure payment. But, by not submitting for them they are denying me proper treatment. I'm on Medicare so treatment I do receive is limited anyway. DO NOT GO HERE.. I love the dentist though. Sucks for them support staff doesn't do there job.
Good job you can file a complaint with the insurance company for non compliance.
