| - From an enthusiast climber's point of view, they gym is just "meh." The walls are short, 35 feet, and the setting is just "okay." However, the staff are reasonably friendly and some good routes can be found after wading through the lesser-quality routes. However, my largest complaint is not about the gym size or the sets, it is about the atmosphere. On the day I climbed at R2C2, as they call it, the place felt like a preschool. There were little kids running around everywhere, swinging into me and nearly knocking me off a route, making it impossible to communicate with my partner and making it hard to focus. I wont hold it against them too much because I understand that gyms need to bring in the kids to make money; however, it is what it is. Regardless of the reasoning, the place still felt like less of a climbing gym and more of a preschool.
To the gym's credit, I have been to far worse gyms. R2C2 is not at the top, it is not at the bottom, is is in the endlessly-large sea of average.
