I've been a customer at this shop before when it was called SS Audio, however on my most recent visit my experience was atrocious. I had my old wiring from my previous vehicle and my old sub/amp. The wiring needed a new fuse holder, and my amp needed a screw for the 12V connection. My installer completely ruined the install. First, he installed an 8AWG wire to my 4AWG with an inline 40AMP fuse for a 60AMP amplifier. Then the remote on/LOC he used had a short in the ground wire which eventually completely came out of the harness. The signal he used was from the rear right speaker, not the front speakers. He also told me my subwoofer was going out! My subwoofer is FINE and it's currently slamming in my trunk! The screw he used for the 12V terminal on my amp was too big and got stuck in the amp's bolt, cracked the plastic and made it unusable. In recognizing all of this, I basically reinstalled the amp myself. I removed his 8AWG wiring and used 4AWG with a new inline fuse holder that accepted bare wire. I went to the existing amp and got the signal from the two front channels, wired it into my own LOC, ran that to the amp. Bought a new amp that has signal sensing turn on, and I will NEVER visit this shop again.
