I needed a brow wax. Badly. Tip to Toe is in my neighborhood, and the lady was able to take me that day. The edifice is pretty underwhelming, but I wasn't going to let that unduly influence my opinion of her potential waxing skills. The inside continued to batter at my attempt to not pre-judge. You know how your Nanna's (or Bubby's) house is crammed with crap, such that there isn't a bare piece of vertical or horizontal surface? Well, that's what the inside of Tip to Toe is like. OK, I'm still in the game; I'm going through with this. I sit on an old computer chair, lean my head against a filing cabinet, and she starts waxing. Unfortunately, she basically neglects the middle area of my brows. At this point I'm too *something* to point out this grievous error, and all I really want to do is leave. Salt in the ol' wounds: it was $14.
