Went to Modern Steak as a change from the Keg and to celebrate our anniversary. The decor suits an intimate evening out and we got a great table. Our waitress was very attentive and helped us with all our questions and to our surprise the Chef also checked on us a few times to get our opinion on food and drink items. Most impressive!
The Cheese Fondue was a fun and tasty way to start our meal. Try it! We both ordered Filets which came with one side each. No problem as the sides are perfect to share for two people and come in separate bowls. We tried the Brussel Sprouts and the Mashed Potatoes. The Brussel Sprouts were beyond tasty with the addition of candied bacon. We also tried the Horseradish Merlot sauce which put our perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth Filet over the top!! The meal was moan worthy for me but Hubby wanted more kick from the horseradish in the sauce. Hubby also did not like the pop corn offered upon arrival. For me it was a five star experience and we will definitely be back for those special occasions.
