Construction on this brand new park on Lone Mountain just off the 215 was completed surprisingly fast. Disappointingly, it has no swings, so it doesn't truly qualify as a playground at all. If you are looking for tennis courts, basketball, horseshoes and bocce (?!?!?!?) playing areas and as far as the eye can see, or a convenient place to park your car for hiking Lone Mountain, this park may suit your needs. May as well change the name to Lone Mountain Geriatric Park.
There are picnic areas and a playground. The slides and other play features (AeroGlider, thick balancing rope) have codes you can scan with your smartphone. I have no idea what they tell you, but I'm telling you that Lone Mountain Discovery Park just down the road is superior.
Maybe construction isn't really complete... my husband and I both commented that they seemed to have run out of money, as we reached the trash can that marks the sudden end of the concrete walkway headed towards Lone Mountain.
