I've been going to this one for years and they never fixed the pricing errors. Here's how it is supposed to work. The cashier looks at the produce code, enters it into the computer, and based off the weight, the correct amount and is charged. To assist the cashier, if the produce is in a green organic bag, it is an organic item and should be charged accordingly. If it is in a clear bag, it is not organic. But in any case, the 4 digit produce code ensures the correct item is charged. ONLY IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK THAT WAY AT SPROUTS. The cashiers enter whatever code is convenient for them without verification. Sometimes it's in your favor, sometimes not.
Dear Spouts. Please charge me exactly what I owe. Nothing more. Nothing less. Every single other supermarket does not have this consistent problem. Only all of your stores.
I encourage everyone who experiences this to complain to the AZ Department of Weights and Measures. It's super easy and fast and maybe one day Sprouts will fix this ridiculous problem.
