| - Since I moved to Vegas from Cali, I decided to get my taxes done here and was contemplating driving back to Cali to get my last time tax return done there with my tax lady, who also works for H&R which me and my parents had her for 25+ years. But I found this place on yelp. 2 really high reviews, So I decided to give this place a try. Everyone there is very nice and professional.
Kim my tax person was very knowledgeable and helpful. She even gave me printed out quarterly tax vouchers for me to use since I'm a independent contractor for Uber and Lyft. This was new to me and makes sense. Told me how it will help me out in the end, for that I will more than likely not owe anything if I did the voucher forms. Probably get money back. I was really pleased to get this advice from her and her knowledge of this stuff.
My only grip here is, H&R Block charges so high for there services. Its like that in Cali and here in Vegas. It all depends according to how much you made for the year will determine there fee to do your taxes and what the company gets.
I like there peace of mind you can add on just in case there was a discrepancies on your tax return. But not this time for me, because I owe IRS this time which is my first time and hopefully my last. Why only three stars. I paid a lot of money for them to do my taxes. I had to pay H&R well over $500 this time to do my taxes. There is more to this story, but it's personal and I'm going to leave it at that.
Overall I have no problems with this location and might go there next year. If I do, I will probably have Kim do my taxes. There are other tax places I considered before going here, and maybe I should of went to them instead. They were cheaper and not a big corporate like H&R. But when you been going to H&R so long like me and parents have, it's so hard to consider the lesser known tax places. You just get to dang comfortable with H&R. For me next year, I might have to reconsider or just take my chances again with H&R. But it's to late. I already paid. Thanks to Kim, I learned so much more what I have to do in the future. So for now, I have a whole year to decide we're I go next year.
