So, I'm a coffee addict who is visiting my wife's family in south Phoenix. We arrived Friday evening and I made mention to my sister in law that I planned to hit Starbucks in the morning to get my 20oz fix. Aghast at my desire to frequent the giant of giants, she informed me of a shop that she considers the "best coffee shop in the Valley." I quickly decided that I'd made my morning run to 3's.
Saturday morning, I knew I made the right decision. The shop is quaint and welcoming. The women behind the counter were conversational and were happy to help me make the right decision. On my first morning (I'm now a repeat customer!), they recommended the Rose de Amor latte. It was wonderful. A floral flavor, something I had NEVER had before and it was soft on the palette, without sacrificing strength. I also grabbed some delicious banana bread available at the counter. The full experience was utterly pleasant (and yummy). I can't wait for our next family visit to stop and say hi again!
If you're in the valley, particularly near 27th Ave and Southern, make sure you stop by and try them out. They also have a pumpkin waffle available right now that is actually heaven. Like, it actually is heaven. Thank you 3's Co!
