Took my 12 yo daughter in last evening, was happy with care, left with an antibiotic, Augmentin, for a sinus infection. We started her on it as directed including with probiotics and taking yogurt. Unfortunately it made her so nauseated. (She had a previous experience a couple of years ago trying Augmentin, but had to be switched because of side effects. I thought maybe now that she was older it would be different, but it definitely wasn't.) I called back to Allkids the following evening to see if they could just change her to a different antibiotic but was told she would need to come in for another appointment for this. This didn't make sense at all since we were just there the night before and were just asking for a different antibiotic. I was told what she was experiencing wasn't a side effect of the Augmentin (even though it is listed as a side-effect?), so she would need to be seen again. Unfortunately it was too late to get her in to her pediatrician but there was no way I was going to pay another huge urgent care copay and have a long urgent care wait just for a med switch. Seems like a good way for them to get more money by requiring another visit....We are done using them because we can't trust the care.
