| - Don't let the exterior of this really great hotel deter you. It looks dated on first impression, but inside the rooms are spacious and clean, with updated decor to rival MUCH more expensive nearby resorts. Believe me, we've stayed at most of them, and this is by FAR a better deal if you're not planning to make the hotel stay your entire vacation.
There are 2 pools and jacuzzis and the grounds are shaded with lots of mature landscaping, ironwork and tile that give the place a French Quarter, genteel vibe. The location is perfect for all your activities in Old Town Scottsdale as well as Scottsdale Fashion Center, and so much else. The OdySea Aquarium is a quick 8 minutes up the 101.
The free breakfast is bountiful with made-to-order omelets, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and all the usual breakfast beverages. It's not the usual continental breakfast of dry muffins and soggy fruit. There are lots of activities for kids, and a decent evening reception with free wine, beer and other adult beverages. The beds are very comfortable and there's a sleeper sofa in the living room.
